EnvironmentPlatypuses live in freshwater system from tropical rainforest lowlands. They are found is Queensland, Tasmania and Australian Alps. They are found in the slow-moving and also the rapid part of streams. They like the gravel and the stones on the bottom of the stream. When the platypus is not eating or swimming it spends it's time on the banks of the water in their burrows.
